A pedestrian is facing "hit and run" charges after fleeing the scene after an elderly man on an e-bike collided with them on April 17.

The 75 year old biker died from injuries he sustained during the accident in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The incident occurred outside of the entrance of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, when the walker, surnamed Li, collided with the e-bike rider. According to a local shopkeeper, Li then attempted to flee the scene, seeking refuge in his shop.

Police investigations are underway to determine which party is at fault. However, an initial investigation found that Li had illegally crossed the road.
