An elderly Chinese man became trapped between two cliff faces after tripping into the narrow crevice, while touring Guifeng Mountain in Jiangxi Province.
Tourist trap - man wedged in narrow gap in cliff
The 75-year-old man was rescued by firefighters in a two-hour operation after some students heard his cries for help.

According to China Central Television, the man was lodged inside a 20 to 50 centimeter-wide gap, which was 30 meters long, at the Yiyang County scenic spot.
Once freed from the cliff, the man explained that the road was uneven, causing him to fall over.

“I wanted to move backwards like the soldier but I couldn't,” he described his horrific situation. “I also couldn't move forward as I got stuck.”
Perhaps Guifeng Mountain tourism operators should consider installing a redundant automated announcement similar to the London tube.
In an uncannily similar incident last week, firemen spent about an hour rescuing a woman who got her boobs and bum wedged between two rocks in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province.
