Tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto · Selected Works Concert
There are only two kinds of people in the world: those who love Ryuichi Sakamoto, and those who don’t know him yet.
A pioneer of contemporary music and one of the most influential composers of our time, Ryuichi Sakamoto was a true musical chameleon. From avant-garde electronics to refined classical works, from film scores to J-pop and jazz, his creativity crossed genres and cultures. His music has been sung by Faye Wong, written into novels by Keigo Higashino, performed in cathedrals, and even reimagined by Michael Jackson.
In 2024—the first year since his passing—this concert brings together outstanding musicians of the Unicorn Chamber Ensemble to reimagine Sakamoto’s most iconic works. Through piano, strings, and fresh arrangements, audiences will experience the many sides of his artistry, from lyrical melodies to experimental soundscapes. Join us on a journey into Sakamoto’s island of sound, where imagination and memory intertwine.

The long-awaited Video Games Live: World of Warcraft Concert 2025 returns this autumn, bringing thunderous battle cries and soaring melodies that have defined a generation of players. Like Brewfest reunions, this is a night to raise a glass, relive legendary quests, and celebrate the timeless world we share.
On September 19 in Shanghai and September 21 in Shenzhen, VGL invites you to immerse yourself in an epic audiovisual journey through Azeroth, featuring unforgettable music from World of Warcraft alongside newly arranged works from Hearthstone (celebrating its 10th anniversary!) and Overwatch, marking its triumphant return to China.
The concert once again welcomes legendary composer and former Blizzard Music Director Jason Hayes—the original musical voice of World of Warcraft—as conductor. Fans will also be treated to VGL’s signature Game Music Piano Medley with pianist Nancy, and the soaring voice of soprano Svetlana.
Since its founding in 2005, Video Games Live has staged thousands of concerts worldwide, transforming iconic game scores into symphonic spectacles. More than a concert, it is a gathering—a chance for guildmates, friends, and families to cheer together, to remember, and to celebrate the music that shaped their adventures.
