July 1, 2025, Shanghai—The Bund Finance Center North District welcomes a groundbreaking sensory experience with the grand opening of Full House by Bar Choice, a innovative tea-cocktail space. This venue is not just a contemporary tribute to Chinese tea culture but a narrative of flavor where West Lake Longjing tea takes center stage, blending Eastern tea craftsmanship with Western mixology. Here, tea, cocktails, and cuisine converge to create a unique "Trinity Aesthetic" experience.
At The Full House, Longjing tea transcends its role as a beverage—it becomes the backbone of flavor, rhythm, and harmony. From the delicate sweetness of early spring tea buds to the layered complexity of spirits, the bar weaves together seasonal rhythms, regional terroir, and ingredient philosophy into a modern expression of Eastern aesthetics.
Opening Media Event: A Journey from Tea Tasting to Mixology
During the media preview, guests embarked on a multi-sensory tasting journey. The experience began with a tea ceremony featuring cold-brewed Longjing tea from Lion Peak, followed by a traditional Gongfu tea ritual with Honey Orchid Dancong tea, accompanied by incense and meditative silence.
The mixology segment allowed guests to craft their own tea-infused Highball using The Full House’s signature Phoenix Dancong tea in four aromatic profiles—Floral, Fruity, Honeyed, Woody—paired with five Longjing tea-inspired spirits. The event culminated in a cross-cultural flavor exploration, with four tea-cocktail chapters paired with curated dishes:
Four Chapters of Tea-Cocktails: The Essence of Longjing
The Full House’s cocktail menu is divided into four chapters, each reflecting a facet of Longjing tea’s character. Cutting-edge techniques like ultrasonic extraction, milk washing, fat washing, and pectin clarification elevate Eastern tea to a global audience.
Spring Tea Melody: Light, fruity, and refreshing
Terroir Inspiration: Umami-rich, experimental
Deconstructed Classics: Light-bodied, food-friendly
Eastern Spirits: Bold, layered, and complex
Chef Zhu’s menu reimagines Chinese "wok-tossed" street food with tea-infused flair:
Longjing Tea Shrimp: Wok-fried shrimp marinated in Longjing tea, paired with crispy Tieguanyin leaves.
Spicy Beef Brisket: Crispy beef with chili and Sichuan peppercorns—a perfect cocktail companion.
Golden Shrimp Balls: Crispy-fried shrimp with a golden glaze, symbolizing abundance.
When Tea Becomes a Language
Full House is more than a bar—it’s a space where tea becomes a medium for contemporary Eastern storytelling. By blending heritage, terroir, and modern techniques, it crafts a new sensory dialect. From tea ceremonies to cocktails, from mountain freshness to urban vibrancy, Full House unfolds a poetic narrative of tea.
