So, is this really necessary?
We would argue this device is one of the more useful products we’ve introduced in this column, up there with the ‘anti-pervert’ flamethrowers. But, unlike the peeping-Tom roasters, this product can be used to safeguard against roaches lodged inside your ears. Sounds like fiction? Think again.

In 2018, a woman in Dongguan had a roach removed from her ear two days after it crawled into her head, while a 2-centimeter-long cockroach set up shop inside a man’s ear in Shenzhen for hours. In both occurrences, the patients cited discomfort before heading to the hospital.
