A plane, which left Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport yesterday bound for Hohhot in Inner Mongolia with a stopover in Luoyang, Henan province, was forced to make an emergency landing after a communications malfunction.
The flight, CZ6763 operated by China Southern Airlines, took off from Bao’an at 2.42pm on January 9 and was expected to land in Luoyang at 7.20pm. However, due to a short-term communication failure, the crew decided that the best course of action was to turn the airplane around and return to Shenzhen. Reports indicate that all passengers arrived in Shenzhen safely.
The crew reversed course as they were flying North of Guangzhou, as detailed in the picture below:

The flight landed at Bao’an International Airport at 3.30pm and maintenance engineers proceeded to examine and inspect the aircraft.
In a Weibo post, China Southern apologized to passengers for the inconvenience and promised to allow them to rearrange their flights at no extra cost.
