A Zhejiang teenager who disappeared this week left a series of notes in morse code as clues, the Metropolitan Express reports.
According to the paper, Xiaoqiang, a high school student in Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, left home on Sunday morning. His parents found a piece of paper with letters and numbers on it left in his room, with the message: "Do you want to know where I am? Decode it."
The parents realised that the note was written in morse code and, with the help of several of Xiaoqiang's teachers, began decoding it. The original note led Xiaoqiang's parents to a dictionary in which he had stored a second note explaining that he felt pressured by school work and would be back after a few day's "rest".
Police said that the teen had boarded a bus bound for Hangzhou on Sunday. An officer surnamed Lu reportedly encouraged Xiaoqiang's parents not to punish him, and said the boy might make a good cop one day (because all police officers like to elaborately toy with their parents' emotions?).
