Guangzhou is one hell of a city, full stop. The settlement, which is now more appropriately referred to as a megalopolis, has been around for well over 2,000 years, serving as a hub for commerce and earning itself a reputation as a trade center over the millenia.
Today, those of us who live in Guangzhou, sometimes referred to as 'The Flower City,’ will tell you that the city is an ever-evolving commercial hub, with a rotating cast of foreign workers, learners and partiers.
To outsiders, Guangzhou may be more commonly associated with its world-renowned cuisine or vertigo-inducing 600-meter-tall Canton Tower, but those associations really fail to do the city justice.
Luckily, a short video that was recently released profiles the city as the kickass place all Guangzhouers know it to be.
The five-minute film, which premiered at the Guangzhou Annual International Investment Conference 2017’s opening ceremony, has amassed over 58,000 views on the Guangzhou China Facebook page since it was published on March 28.

At long last, here's a video to share with your friends back home and shamelessly proclaim, “See, it’s not all smog, concrete and face masks.”
