2016 was a big year for mobile e-commerce, with mobile sales dominating yet another record-breaking Singles Day for Alibaba last month.

Take a look at the top 20 mobile e-commerce platforms by monthly active users (in millions) below. Spoiler alert: Taobao doesn't have a monopoly, but it's not far off.
