Michael Fassbender once said “nobody wants to hear Metallica at lunchtime.” That is not the case in the That’s office today as we psych ourselves up for ‘Tallica’s January 20, 2017, concert in Hong Kong – their first ever performance in the city.

Admittedly, we were a bit surprised Metallica has never made it to ‘The Kong,’ considering they seem to have played just about everywhere else on the globe, including a 2013 performance in the real ‘Land Down Under’ – Antarctica (see image below).

With less than three weeks until the release of Metallica’s 10th studio album, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, the announcement the group will be visiting Hong Kong is welcome news for fans there, as well as metal-deprived music junkies in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

A show 35 years in the making, fans can expect a healthy dose of music from their latest thrash project, as well as the tried-and-true classics.

Tickets went on sale October 27 and are available here. Prepare metal heads to be hardwired (to self-destruct) in Hong Kong!
