Samsung will give China-based customers a full refund and a bonus of RMB200 when they return their Galaxy Note 7 smartphones.

Additionally, anyone who would like to purchase the new Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge after returning the Galaxy Note 7 can get a bonus of up to RMB600. The return policy lasts for a year and buyers need to have proof the phone was bought in the Mainland.

Samsung said all 109,984 Note 7 handsets sold in China were recalled, however, recent reports suggest the devices are still being sold.

Following a massive recall and permanent production cancellation after customers began reporting smartphones spontaneously bursting into flames, the technology company is taking major losses estimated at more than US$6.2 billion. Meanwhile, airlines have begun banning the smartphone on flights.
