The silver car was in the northbound lane, according to an Express News reporter, and is the third such unexpected car ignition in a week.

Witnesses told reporters the fire started suddenly and engulfed the car in a matter of seconds – leaving just a twisted metal skeleton in its wake.

Four fire engines reported to the scene and, luckily, there were no casualties. It's presently unknown what caused the fiery automobile inferno.
