Foreigners kicked out of station, after trying to bring bikes on Beijing subway

Three foreigners were kicked out of the subway after ignoring a subway attendant and trying sneak their bikes through station security on Wednesday.

The young men arrived about 10:10pm at Dawanglu Subway Station (Line 1) pushing three large, two-wheeled bikes with skateboards attached. A security attendant promptly told them bikes were not allowed on the Beijing subway.

The men ignored the woman’s advice, and continued trying to wheel their bikes through the security gates. For some reason this upset the station attendant.

“Do not disgrace your nation,” the woman yelled, and called reinforcements.

More subway attendants arrived at what we can only assume was quickly becoming an incredibly chaotic and confusing scene. Realizing the strong fist of subway was shaking in their direction, the foreigners ran out of the station, but not before yelling a few choice expletives at guards.

Chinese media would like it known that bicycles and other large items are banned from Beijing's subways. Ignoring a station attendant is a crime of “hinderance.” Punishment involves being intimidated and outnumbered at the security turnstail.

Stupid foreign devils.
