In this era of ever-emerging culinary creativity, Waldorf Astoria Beijing is proud to present a rare new six-hand collaboration menu. To bring a unique gastronomic experience to the capital's gourmands, Waldorf Astoria Beijing has specially invited the head chef of Meet the Bund, a Michelin one-star restaurant in Shanghai and one of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, and the chef of a two-diamond Black Pearl restaurant, Chen Zhiping, to join forces with the hotel's Michelin one-star restaurant Zijin Mansion Chef Wang Chunzeng and Executive Chef Zhu Wenyuan, to present a uniquely crafted "Six-Hand Delicacies" feast.
This feast integrates the essences of the cuisines from all three cities, transforming them into a banquet of sea flavors and mountain delicacies. Waldorf Astoria Beijing has invited guests and media friends to experience a culinary event that spans three cities.
The three head chefs perfectly combine the luxury and refinement of French cuisine with the classic flavors of Cantonese and Fujian cuisine, creating a wave of taste and visual impact. This unique menu is jointly created by three famous chefs from Quanzhou, Shanghai, and Meizhou, presenting a series of delicious dishes that span cultures and blend contrasting flavors. A week before the feast, Chef Chen Zhiping arrived in Beijing early to exchange ideas face-to-face with the two head chefs of Waldorf Astoria Beijing so they could work together to present the most balanced and coordinated fusion of flavors.
After experiencing this six-hand collaboration, guests and the media have gained a deeper understanding of gourmet food. Chef Chen Zhiping expressed his honor at the chance to bring the food culture of Fujian to Beijing and to communicate with other outstanding chefs. All three chefs have distinct personalities.
The menu of this feast uses a lot of characteristic local ingredients, and each dish is meticulously cooked and artistically presented to ensure that diners can immerse themselves in the food culture of these different regions. Whether it is a dish of tender and juicy seafood or one of the fragrant mountain delicacies, each dish embodies the efforts and wisdom of the three famous chefs.
