A whole host of new flavors have hit the capital in May!

BOBO MIA is serving up authentic Spanish dishes in trendy Sanlitun, while new dishes are also available at Guangdong hotpot restaurant Laowang. 

Meatless Mondays at Slow Boat are perfect for veggies, vegans and anyone who wants to do their bit for the planet. 

And if you want to feel some summer vibes, why not try out some hand-crafted cocktails at The Peninsula Beijing’s Yun Summer Lounge or at China World Summit Wing's Atmosphere Bar?

Enjoy paella, Callos Madrileña (a classic Spanish stew), crispy Torrijas (Spanish dessert) and other Spanish dishes crafted by award-winning chef Raúl Liu. As well as the tasty dishes, the unique interior design is something not to be missed.

Commune By The Great Wall


The Commune Kitchen cooks up a feast for visitors. Classic Chinese dishes such as Peking duck cooked in a wood-fired oven, wok-fried king prawns with chili, braised fresh-water fish head and more. Enjoy this sumptuous cuisine as you gaze upon the breath-taking scenery nearby the Shuiguan section of the Great Wall.

Until June 30 at Lu Yu Chinese Restaurant, guest chef and ‘master of Chinese cuisine’ Xiao Qinghe will craft authentic Huaiyang cuisine from Jiangsu province. Indulge in double boiled minced pork balls with shrimp roe, Yangzhou-style bok choy and more.

Laowang Hotpot


Cantonese-style hotpot has made its way to the capital. Be sure not to miss out on their new dishes including a chicken hotpot with a spicy pepper vine and pickle flavor. Laowang’s classic pepper pot will be sure to keep your taste buds on edge. 


Las Musas


Who says Wednesdays need to be hard? Hump Night at Las Musas is the best way to get through the middle of the week. In addition to buy-one-get-one-free on mezcal margaritas, Las Musas also has the Mamasan of the Haus of Lily as the hostess for the night. She’ll likely be lip-syncing to some of her favorite hits.

Cèpe restaurant has new mouthwatering pasta dishes including lobster linguine with variety tomato sauce and tomato powder; guitar spaghetti with Hokkaido sea urchin cream and lemon zest; tagliatelle bolognaise with black-more Wagyu beef, pancetta, sautéed vegetables and aged parmesan; spaghetti with roasted bell peppers and dungeness as well as risotto with 24-month aged parmesan, spotted prawns and saffron-seafood reduction.

Meatless Mondays at Slow Boat mean that all veggie salads and burgers are buy-one-get-one-free (with the purchase of any drink). Be sure to try the latest tasty burger from Beyond Meat; the kimchi cheeseburger includes a rich plant-based patty topped with a gooey vegetarian kimchi-cheese mix, kimchi aioli and lettuce on a brioche bun.
