Mifan or Mafan: Train No. 1 Bar

It’s a train… It’s a bar… It’s a… train bar! Yes, really – this vintage train car-turned-bar is the latest arrival in Shuangjing. (Is it just us or is Shuangjing kinda cool now?) Stationed a couple blocks away from the Today Art Museum, Train No. 1 Bar is a no frills late-night spot for a drink or two. They serve basic, cheap beers from Goose Island to Hoegaarden (RMB20), along with some simple snacks like chuan’r (RMB6 per skewer – order at least five, as they’re tiny). It’s nothing fancy but worth the trek for an odd night out.
