Li Tianyi back in court to appeal gang rape conviction

Li Tianyi, the son of People's Liberation Army (PLA) popstars Li Shuangjiang and Meng Ge, appeared in a Beijing court Tuesday to appeal his September conviction for the gang rape of a 23 year old student. 

17 year old Li was convicted along with four other defendants of gang-raping a woman they met at a club in February. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. 

The case was heard by Beijing's No.1 Intermediate People's Court in a private session, a decision will be announced at a later time.
