Aug 31: The Royal Concept

The Swedish rockers are known for their infectious songs, which incorporate a bit of pop-rock with a splash of electronics. You might know them from their mega hit 'On Our Way' which took the world by storm in 2014. Since then they've been making all sorts of music and touring around the world. The Royal Concept will be landing at Yugong Yishan on Thursday to play tunes off their latest EP Smile.

Thu Aug 31, 9-10.30pm; RMB150 (door) / RMB120 (presale). Yugong Yishan, see event listing.

Sep 1: Chui Wan

Celebrated Beijing psych-rock band Chui Wan release their third album, a complex and exploratory record called The Landscape the Tropics Never Had. Don't miss their Beijing show at Yugong Yishan on Friday night.

Fri Sep 1, 9.30pm; RMB80 (advance), RMB100 (door); Yugong Yishan, see event listing.

Sep 2: D.O.G. 5 Year Anniversary Party @ School

Local label D.O.G. has come a long way in the past five years. What started as a group of friends booking punk shows at Hot Cat Club has now emerged as one of the biggest musical influences in the city. And they're celebrating five years of music with a party at School Bar on Saturday (and Yugong Yishan on Sunday, see below). Ouch, LaiSee, Gum Bleed, Day Dream, Ambulance of Love, Quick Shot, Free Sex Shop and Holy Sh*T will take the stage.

Sat Sep 2, 10pm; RMB100 (door). School Live Bar, see event listing.

Sep 2: Live Music Beijing Relaunch Party

Live Beijing Music is back online and they're celebrating with what is sure to be an epic night of music at Caravan this Saturday. Boss Cuts, Ghetto Blaster, Coupla Cups, Boiled Hippo, Kinkorgasm and Toss will take the stage. DJ Fancy Hobo will get things started around 4pm. And of course there will be plenty of drink deals.

Sat Sep 2, 4-11.30pm; RMB60 (door) / RMB50 (presale). Caravan, see event listing.

Sep 3: D.O.A.

Punk legends D.O.A. will be gracing the stage at School Bar on Sunday night. This isn't the first time the band has toured China, but this time around they're here to celebrate the release of their vinyl split with Beijing-based band The Diders. The Diders are rumored to actually be split right now, so they're not performing. But D.O.A. is going to be there (!!!), and the veterans will undoubtedly put on a great show.

Sun Sep 3, 9-11.30pm; RMB90 (door) / RMB70 (presale). School Live Bar, see event listing.
