Last month, Great Leap unveiled special bottles for its ‘Excuse Me While I Kiss This Guy’ Purple IPA, and they quickly sold out. We will address the name shortly.
But first: why purple? A purple IPA, apparently, is an IPA made from sweet potatoes. That’s right, this beer’s got notes of ‘tater. And second: the name. Proceeds from the sale of these bottles – which feature tongue-literally-in-cheek artwork of Trump kissing Putin – went to the Russian LGBT Network to fight discrimination against LGBT citizens in Chechnya.
