It's still swelteringly hot here in the Jing. But, don't let that stop you from getting out there and enjoying everything that's new on the capital's culinary scene.
At China World Summit Wing's Secret Garden (located on the sixth floor), you can enjoy the Japanese Beer Fest! Aside from beer, there's Japanese food, a sushi show, J-pop and more. But, be quick! The event is only on this weekend (Friday, August 19-Saturday, August 20). The timing of the event is fitting, given that Nadaman Japanese restaurant has just had a makeover; be sure to check it out sometime!
Elsewhere, the soft opening of Jing-A's new branch is currently taking place, as of press time. The new location at Hopson One mall has all of your favorite Jing-A beers, as well as food, bar snacks and more. The official opening is slated for Saturday, August 27.
There's good news for Tapas lovers. InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun has opened up their new Tapas Lounge with a whole load of weekly deals, including ladies' night every Thursday!

A fusion of Chinese and Western cooking, San restaurant at Artyzen has a new selection of unique and mouthwatering dishes.
Start off with Buffalo mozarella and tuna salad.
For appetizers, you'll be spoiled for choice with spicy abalone, smoked pomfret with jasmine and more.
Next, come the mains. Indulge in crispy roast chicken, eel in clay pot (with garlic, shallots, and ginger), crispy duck with spring pancake, char-grilled Angus Australian M5 rib-eye steak, as well as a varied selection of soups, rice, noodles and desserts.

Beersmith
The menu at Beersmith has had a makeover!
Indulge in some perfect summer dishes, including vegetable and fruit crudités with tahini sauce for dipping; Californian flatbread topped with tender grilled chicken, thousand island dressing and avocado; and spicy and savoury Thai beef salad, finished with crisp prawn crackers.
For BBQ lovers, don't miss out on extra-large grilled tiger prawns with chef’s secret-recipe chilli-ginger salsa; and 300g prime Australian rib eye steak roasted with rosemary, thyme and garlic (choose from piquant Jack Daniels green peppercorn gravy, earthy truffle mushroom sauce or classic herbed steak butter).
There's also something for burger lovers. Fragrant chicken satay burger, bacon BBQ burger and no-meat burger with juicy OmniPork patty are all must-try.
Last but not least, be sure to enjoy a whole range of snacks with your beer. Snack on freshly-fried fish and chips, German curry wurst, the snack platter (includes European cold cuts and cheeses, pickles, bread sticks and more) or angus sirloin steak with Mexican roast corn salad.
EAST Beijing
We all need to escape the sweltering Beijing summer heat at some point, right?
Domain at EAST Beijing is part café and part working space. And, with a cold coffee, it’s the perfect place to cool off in the summer heat.

The newest Jing-A location has opened in Hopson One!
