In Mifan or Mafan, we cover the latest restaurant and bar openings in the form of bite-sized reviews. In this ongoing series, all we hope to do is answer one simple question: is the rice worth the hassle?

Xingfucun Zhonglu, otherwise known as ‘That Place You Always Grab A Quick Lunch,’ is now home to a sushi joint. Shousi Jia serves an extensive variety of sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi, plus rice bowls and udon. It’s a big menu for such a tiny place, which is probably why the dishes are uniformly mediocre.
