That's Shanghai Halloween Party @ Cages

Spooky music. Spine-chilling decor. Creepy drinks. And awesome prizes on offer for the best dressed. It’s that time of year for ghoulish get-ups, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Once again, That’s Shanghai is hosting a hell of a bash, as we join forces with Cages on Saturday, October 28.

Pre-order tickets are just RMB150, which includes entry to all of the above freaky fun and five F&B tickets, which can be exchanged for cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, soft drinks and food.

In previous years, people rocked up in full costume, dancing on tables well into the wee hours of the morning to old school hip hop and classic tunes from throughout the decades, from the 80s all the way to 2023.

Gravity & Other Myths is an Australian circus troupe founded in 2009, made up of members from Australia’s leading acrobatic schools.

As their name suggests, with human connection and acrobatic skills at the heart of their work, they have created a new circus piece that "rejects gravity, just energizes."

A Simple Space is the first production of the group’s 'youthful' approach – 10 years of school friends training together, growing up together, creating together.

This 'playful' work is gritty, crazy, extremely subtle and was an instant hit; it has already attracted a massive fans base, having performed close to a thousand times across 34 countries, achieving huge international success, and receiving multiple awards.

Franck Vigroux & Antoine Schmitt A/V Live @ SYSTEM

French musician and composer Franck Vigroux arrives in China together with multi-award-winning visual artist Antoine Schmitt to present Videoscope, an audiovisual performance based on Vigroux’s latest album, Magnetoscope.

The compositions, between progressive pop,dark, abstract layers of sound, are worked out in detail, driving forward, and can also be harmonically complex. Nevertheless, remain timeless and classic, combined with a kind of melodic euphoria paired with machine-funk elements and now with the visual work of Antoine Schmitt, with which he takes us on an infinite ride in space and time on the autobahns of a world in deep transformations.

Double Chicken Please Popup @ Café Gray Deluxe, The Middle House

This Saturday, Faye Chen and GN Chan, the founders of Double Chicken Please Restaurant & Bar in New York, pop up in Shanghai at Café Gray Deluxe, The Middle House, to bring guests four inventive craft cocktails.

Faye and GN created a mobile cocktail pop-up program in a 1977 VW minibus hosting unique drinking and dining experiences across the country. They created an ingenious cocktail program based on the concept of “hacking design,” where cocktails are deconstructed then reassembled in new, playful and creative ways.

At Double Chicken Please, the drinks are inspired by food and the food is inspired by drinks, creating surprising, delightful and unexpected sensory experiences.
