FD Academy Elite Teams Tryouts

FD Academy, winner of Kid’s Club of the Year at the 2021 That’s Shanghai Lifestyle Awards, will hold open registration for all interested players, both boys and girls, across the city who wish to be considered for a spot on the 2020/2021 season elite teams. Registration is 100% free.

FD Academy provides the platform to develop to the highest level, and also serve as the gateway and vehicle to help fulfill your potential and reach your goals both on and off the field. They emphasize the importance of balancing education and sports.

FD Academy Elite teams participate in various local leagues and tournaments, as well in other cities and international tournaments. They always seek the right competitions that will aid in the development of players.

During the tryout sessions, players' technical skills, game understanding, fitness, competitiveness and, most importantly, character will be evaluated. They encourage players to join at least two sessions. However, players are welcome to join all sessions.

They are most interested in players who will commit to prioritizing the team's training and game schedule, as well as displaying a keen interest in learning the individual and team skills necessary for successful development as a person and player.

Throughout all training sessions during the season, players will be encouraged to continually strive to develop FD Academy's core values:

Studio MAKA

Studio MAKA was founded by moms with a passion for art / design / esthetic education for kids, who bring great experience from the fashion and art industry themselves. They have launched a unique fashion design summer camp for kids: Fashion Art History – a Design Summer Camp.

For the first time, a fashion design summer camp about fashion art history is available, including:

Five amazing days of fashion art history
Create five directly-inspired pieces of work (including dress, different accessories, art work, etc.)
Studio/Art Space visit
Styling session and self-direct shooting practice
A final presentation show to parents

And here's a bonus – as they are going to discover through the essence of fashion design Haute Couture, which originated in France, kids will also get the chance to learn some basic daily and design French vocabulary.

The whole idea is not only to allow kids to have diverse design trials, but also to discover the beauty, the design masters, the profound connection with art... to have a 360 degree esthetic enlightenment.

Shanghai City Ballet

Shanghai City Ballet Summer Dance Camp is a great way for dancers to learn, explore and socialize during the summer holiday. Classes are for dancers aged 3-12 years and will cover a range of styles including ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, stretch and conditioning, as well as a daily craft. The camp is designed for dancers of all levels and abilities.

Check out the 2021-2022 class schedule at SCB offering a wide range of classes for students ages two and up. Sign up in July to receive a discount and reserve your place.

Shanghai City Ballet was founded in 2013 with the aim to provide high quality dance education to the Shanghai community. Following Royal Academy of Dance curriculum as well as BBO, ISTD and PBT their program is designed to provide students with a safe and fun environment to learn, grow and improve their dance skills.
