UPDATE (February 25, 2020 at 2.15am CST): On Tuesday, the Shanghai Health Commission confirmed one new case of coronavirus in the city. The number of cases stands at 336.


On Tuesday, the Shanghai Health Commission confirmed one new coronavirus (COVID-19) case. The number of cases in Shanghai stands at 336, Shine reports. 

The new patient resides in Shanghai's Qingpu district. He came down with a fever on February 22 after a recent trip to visit family in Henan province from January 20 through February 9.

Of the 336 patients in Shanghai, 53 are in stable condition, three are in serious condition and nine are in critical condition. So far, 268 people have fully recovered and been discharged and three people have died.

A 25-year-old man died of COVID-19 in Shanghai on Friday, February 21. The victim is the third person to die of the coronavirus in Shanghai since the outbreak began.

Doctors in Shanghai are currently testing 60 patients who are suspected of having the coronavirus. 

The death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 2,666, with over 77,782 confirmed cases reported
