Oh, say can you see…that the Fourth of July is almost here?! Celebrate America’s birthday like you’re back home with BBQ, burgers and beer. Here are some venues in Shanghai engaging in the pursuit of happiness this Independence Day. 

Bourbon Cookhouse's First Hot Dog Eating Contest

What’s more American than hot dogs on the Fourth of July? A hot dog eating contest, that’s what. Join Bourbon Cookhouse on July 6 for their first ever hot dog eating contest. The winner gets an RMB500 voucher and the prestigious title of Bourbon Cookhouse Hot Dog Eating Champion. Sign up quickly, because only the first 20 people to RSVP get the honor of competing.

Fourth of July Independence Day Celebration at Stone Brewing

Taste Collective is supplying all your burger needs this July 4 (and 5) with their Two Hands Burger Pop Up. The menu features their classic smash burger: a beef burger smashed to order with cheese, onions, pickles and smash sauce, along with fried chicken meets hot pot, brownie sundaes, wine, beer, and whiskey. This American-influenced pop-up starts at 7pm and runs until midnight, or when supplies sell out.
