Carte Blanche - Continuous Terminus

Newly opened Continuous Terminus is a group show featuring a lot of stuff made on computers. These futuresque digital works by Hsiung Cheng Kai and Mao Haonan are a combination of dark and optimistic, programmatic feats, a captivating addition to M50.
Until Oct 7, ShangART.
Lin Tianmiao: Systems

Closing next week, this is your last chance to catch Lin Tianmiao's solo show. One of the first female Chinese video and installation artists, the exhibition includes a wide range of work, incorporating everything from fluids to silk and needles.
Until Aug 26, Rockbund Art Museum.

Random International's body of work (including Rain Room and a number of other interactive pieces) is scheduled to run through October 14th, but the museum will be closed from September 11-20 for the Artificial Intelligence Conference in the West Bund area. Best to check it out now and beat the pre-shutter rush.
Until Oct 14, Yuz Museum, buy tickets here.
Saudade: Unmemorable Place in Time

Saudade is also closing at the end of next weekend. The nearly untranslatable Portuguese word speaks to the feeling of sadness that comes with missing something irretrievable. Showcasing pieces from the European country, the exhibition puts them in dialogue with a number of Chinese artists, reframing and reconstructing their intercontinental narrative.
Until Aug 26, Fosun Foundation.
The Common Places: Huang Hai-Hsin

Huang Hai-Hsin's solo exhibition at Capsule Shanghai captures the oddities and eccentricities of everyday life. Sketches, paintings and video installations cover a wide range of subjects, illustrating her keen attention to the world around us and the diversity in which these details manifest themselves.
Until Sep 4, Capsule Shanghai.
Capricious Structures

This multimedia exhibiton in Xintiandi showcases a number of independent projects from young artists living in Hangzhou, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and London/Amsterdam. Through visuals, they've set out to restructure narratives around concepts like urban conditions, industrialization, technology, economy and race, in a multidimensional exploration of identity and existence.
Until Sep 14, chi K11 art museum. Buy tickets here.
