While it seemed a handful of our favorite Yongkang establishments would remain unscathed, after a few weeks of surviving the August 26 Doomsday, feathers continue to fly, fly away.
This weekend, The Rooster will be shutting up their original shop with one final last shebang.
Owner John Cox has this to say: "After four years of broken glasses, toppled scooters, and enough water poured on us to power a small dam, The Rooster on Yongkang is finally saying farewell to the location where it all started. But before we shut the doors, we need to drink the place dry!"
There will be plenty of deals throughout the day: RMB20 for Heineken, wine and mixed drinks, RMB25 for craft beer and premium spirits (while they last) and RMB30 for their exclusive Cock-a-doodle-brew.
Three kegs of the custom brew Boxing Cat made for their Jing'an location's anniversary party will also be on tap.
Party starts at noon and will go till the booze runs out.
