Mexican Independence Day was last weekend, September 16, which just so happened to fall on exactly the same time as our beloved mid-Autumn, mooncake-consuming holiday. Yup, we traded in limes for lotus seed paste. Yum.
But lucky for us and our affinity for tacos and tequila, Mayita is bringing the party back this weekend.
On Friday the 23rd from 5-11pm, their rooftop will turn into what sounds like quite the fiesta: Shirley Maria's Mariachi All-Stars, the Maya Tequila Trolley, 'tequila table fun games'... [the perfect setup for a rough Saturday morning. Good luck to those doing this before The Color Run].
All tacos and drinks (three different margs, wine Sol and sangria) will be just RMB25 and food plates, like the MAYA Casserola with chicken and chorizo, will be RMB75. 1L Sol beer cups michelada style will also be on tap for RMB50 each.
Prepaid tickets are available now, RMB250 for 12 (giving you an extra two tickets versus purchasing at the door). You can also order six for RMB150, but really, what's the point? You know you'll drink more than that. Order those by calling Mayita.
And to all our Mexican friends, ¡Feliz [Belated] Día de la Independencia!
