Bad tidings for Paulaner Brauhaus' loyal fans: their much-loved Fenyang Lu branch will be bidding auf wiedersehen to its historic location, one of many closures across the city due to leasing issues. And closing tomorrow, no less.
With its leafy garden, playground and Bavarian-themed insides, Paulaner Fenyang Lu in the former French Concession played host to the city's favorite traditional Germanic events.
Representatives for the Brauhaus assure us that their annual Oktoberfest and Christmas Market will now be taking place at Paulaner's branch near the Expo site. (Don't worry, we'll be giving you all the details on those closer to the time).
Sadly, Ambrosia, the adjacent Japanese restaurant also owned by the BLN Restaurant Group, and the Deli & Bakery are also shutting down due to the same issue.
For those wishing for a last prost at Paulaner Fenyang Lu, tomorrow is your chance. Thursday is their last day of business.
