Feeling lost in the shadows of marriage and forgotten in the rush of 1920s post-war society, two London housewives pool their savings to rent a small castle in Italy to escape from their husbands and their dreary, downtrodden lives. In order to share the cost and experience, they recruit a beautiful and exhausted socialite and an overbearing widow to join them on their adventure.  Under the Mediterranean sun, the four ladies initially clash, but as time passes, San Salvatore begins to work its magic and the women begin to bond and bloom…'
