A Note to all ShanghaiPRIDE Supporters
 
Since the very beginning, every year, we have faced and also overcome countless obstacles and challenges. But without fail, we’ve managed every time to pull through and make Chinese mainland’s largest and longest-running Pride festival a resounding success.
 
This year is no different. Unfortunately, today we are facing the biggest challenge in our 11-year history – a big fine. This big fine is extra costs due to new regulations slapped on one of our major cultural events. We have to pay up in a very short time.
 
We are asking the Shanghai community of LGBTQ individuals and allies for support in this time of need. We are planning a series of fundraising events for the rest of the year. So for those who say June is not enough, well, ShanghaiPRIDE will keep going and going!
