B BRAVO ...
Hailing from California under the influence of funkmasters like Roger "Zapp" Troutman, George Clinton, Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock, and hip hop producers like Dr. Dre, Battlecat and J Dilla, he’s crafted his own sound in electronic music connecting interstellar funk, hip hop and R&B with dance and bass music. From San Francisco, he’s recognized worldwide as a driving force in the emerging Modern Funk Movement. Bravo’s massive tune ‘Computa Love’ gained international acclaim as one of London tastemaker Benji B’s ‘best of’ selections for his BBC 1xtra radio program, and as the lead track and 12-inch from Gilles Peterson’s 2010 Brownswood Electr*c compilation. Red Bull Music Academy picked Bravo as a participant to attend their coveted program in London for 2010 and continue to support him as celebrated alumni.
