Yuanxiao is a traditional Chinese snack, which presents itself as a glutinous rice ball with sweet fillings wrapped inside. On the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year, all family members are gathering together to eat yuan xiao and admire the moon. This festival is called “Lantern Festival”. In South China, Yuanxiao is also called “Tang Yuan”, which implies a happy family reunion and Chinese people’s longing for the future.
