Opening Ceremony of The Green Bistro with the Presence of Chocolate Master-Andrea Slitti!

On April 23, the opening ceremony of The Green Bistro was successfully held with the presence of Andrea Slitti, the world chocolate master. Beside of Mr. Slitti, Distinguished guests also include senior managers of Joy City, famous Hong Kong Registered Dietitian (US) Katrina Chim as well as Antonio Farese, member of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.

The Green Bistro provides you the organic healthy dining experience from Europe. The restaurant equippes with chief end service team who came back from Europe. All the ingredients are well selected from the high quality original food all over the world which results from the belief that excellent food can bring about both physical and psychological health and comforts.

The Green Bistro was greeted with public favors since it started trail operation at the end of last year. Famous movie star Ms. Yi Nengjing has brought her baby girl to here when she came to Shanghai to make the reality show “Mom is Superman”. The restaurant is decorated in a Britain vintage style with exquisite crystal lights, dark red leather sofas and vintage wooden floor to make the restaurant more atmospheric.

During the opening days, The Green Bistro prepared a lots welfare for the guests, and also bring the highest level Italian chocolate Slitti in the restaurant. The celebrity registered dietitian, Katrina Chim also consults for the restaurant’s menu. From April 23th to May 23th, the first 20 customers who make reservation of pretty weekend brunch can enjoy bonus of free Ferris Wheel trip as well as Slitti Chocolates.

High-end Italian Handmade Chocolate

The brand name Slitti was taken from the family name of its founder-Luciano Slitti. Founded in 1969, Slitti’s main business is selling coffee at the very beginning. In 1988, the son of Luciano Slitti, Andrea Slitti brought in the product line and paid high attention to the selection of cocoa, temperature control as well as the development of different tastes like vanilla, coffee or chilies, which contributed to the success of Slitti brand.

Nowadays, Slitti has blossomed into one of the biggest brands of exquisite handmade chocolate with products widely spread to 25 countries and shops of different styles in Asia and Australia. And there are 3 shops in Shanghai, respectively the one in Fuxing Soho, the one in Kerry Center and the one in the Joy City. Though with products and shops all around the world, Slitti still observes the tradition of producing chocolates in Italy and producing pure chocolates (only with pure vanilla and cocoa butter), permitting no artificial pigments, spices or soybean phospholipid.

Andrea Slitti present today is the master of chocolate with honors of “The Armani of the Chocolate World” as well as “One of the 8 Best Chocolatiers in the World” and judge of World Chocolate Masters.

After gold medal at Laragne France in 1993, Slitti won gold medal at the Gran Prix International de la Chocolaterie, Paris, which is the most important competition in the field of chocolate. Afterwards, he was greeted with all kinds of awards. In 2008, Slitti was granted as Best Italian Chocolate Maker. And he kept winning all sorts of awards in the following years.

At the party, Mr. Slitti taught the participant about the most professional chocolate tasting. He said chocolate tasting was by no means an easy job, requiring careful and tiny bite. As the chocolate melts, your tongue will have a final say by being exposed to different tastes of chocolates. It is noted that bubbly water is needed whenever you plan to taste another kind of chocolate. Chocolates served at the tasting impressed the participant either by its refreshing tastes or by its rich flavors.

The opening ceremony also invited Katrina Chim, one of the only 50 registered dietitian recognized by Hong Kong Dietitians Association. Besides making introduction of healthy diet, Katrina also recommended a dish of The Green Bistro. She was impressed by the dark chocolate with 82% content of cocoa, which is conducive to human cardiovascular, especially for women.

Recommendation: Farmer Salad

Katrina: Farmer Salad contains quinoa, the high concentration of high fiber of which can lighten glycemic index, making it popular among models and stars for keeping fit; avocado contains high concentration of unsaturated fatty acid, which can alleviate cholesterol. Beetroot with natural antioxidant-betanin can help with body immunity and prevent plenty of cancers, and the high content of potassium can guard against or improve hypertension.
