Chef Mori has an international culinary background having worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong. “At first, I was working in Tokyo studying French cuisine, and after that I moved to Paris to really study the French style of cooking, so you could say my dream came true,” the legendary chef tells That’s, as he prepares for his first gastronomic event on the Chinese mainland.

Starting tomorrow at 11.30am, Chef Mori, along with Chef Eiji Nakamura and his brilliant team at Inagiku, will take diners on an exclusive gastronomical escapade with special lunch and dinner sets. A masterful combination of fresh seafood, Wagyu beef, black truffle and other delectable ingredients will grace diners’ plates on this special occasion. The lunch set (RMB480/person) will consist of four sophisticated courses and the dinner set (RMB1,500/person) comes with six finely crafted Michelin edibles.

The Akkeshi oyster combines the fresh and raw shellfish-meat texture with a light pan fry to bring about an incredible taste and feel, with complementing oyster sauce and coriander puree.

Another decadent plate on the menu is the chef’s French barley risotto with poached lobster and black truffle. The risotto is full of flavor, as Chef Mori tells us, “the combination of butter and soy sauce blends the signature ingredients commonly found in French and Japanese cuisine.”
