Mon, Jun 11: A Love Electric 

A Love Electric is an acclaimed rock trio born out of Mexico City's jazz scene. The group has won praise from fans and critics around the globe for its energetic and altruistic approach to creating and performing. Don’t miss this chance to see them performing live (and for free!) at CITIC Plaza.

Tue-Wed, Jun 12-13: Yarlung Tsangpo

Yarlung Tsangpo is a river that originates in the Himalayas and is deeply connected with the people of the Lhoka region, regarded as the birthplace of Tibetan civilization. This dance and music show was created as a tribute to Yarlung Tsangpo, the land of Lhoka and the people nurtured by both, and is strung together by four chapters – ‘Heaven,’ ‘Earth,’ ‘People,’ and ‘Harmony.’ Now in its third edition, the spectacular show is evolving with the addition of more musically and visually striking elements.

Tue-Sat, Jun 12-16: Ladies’ Night at Connoisseur

From Tuesday to Saturday, The Connoisseur at the LN Garden Hotel, Guangzhou is celebrating women with their fun-filled and boozy ‘ladies’ nights out’! For just RMB180, women can enjoy appetizers, a main course and a free flow of red and white wine, martinis or gin ‘n’ tonics, all in a sophisticated – albeit laidback – environment.

Thu, Jun 14: InterNations Guangzhou Mexican Night

Fri, Jun 15: DJ JackLNDN

British DJ JackLNDN started singing in a choir at 7 years old. When he turned 10, he recorded for the world-class Abbey Road Studio and even performed for the Queen of England. The Londoner's exposure to classical music, jazz and funk, among other genres, has helped shape his unique and incomparable sound.

Fri, Jun 15: Never Young Beach 


Japanese indie psychedelic band Never Young Beach boasts lazy melodies infused with a warm, calm tone. After releasing two well-received albums, the group is now highly sought-after, particularly at music festivals. Catch them live this week in Guangzhou.

Sat, Jun 16: Guangzhou Dragons Pearl River Open Day

After its successful debut last Dragon Boat Festival, the Pearl River Open Day is back to offer a number of fun experiences, ranging from food and fitness stalls to games and paddling activities. The event will be held at Haizhu Wetland Park and experts will be on hand to educate attendees on the ecology of the Pearl River. Organized by the Guangzhou Dragons, a local dragon boat team, 300 free tickets are available to the public. To apply to attend, follow the Guangzhou Dragons’ official WeChat account (ID: GZDragons) and send the following message before June 14: ‘sign up + name + phone + number of tickets.’ (Max. four tickets per person).

Sat-Sun, Jun 16-17: Music Day

Enjoy two days of free concerts in Shunde on June 16 and 17, including performances by electric party-pop group Pony Pony Run Run and pop band Colours in the Street, both from France. Pony Pony Run Run is notable for their catchy fusion of British indie rock and ’90s dance music, which together create a symphony of energetic electro-pop that will have everyone moving their hips and feet. With the release of their first album, members of Colours in the Street have made waves in the French music scene with their vibrant pop tunes. Four Chinese musical groups will also hit the stage over the course of the weekend: hey! lily! (黑莉莉), lure (诱导社), Groovers (菊花合唱团) and Mercader (梅卡 德尔).

Sun, Jun 17: Father's Day Special at LN Garden Hotel
