Chef Joris Rycken joins Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen as executive chef, bringing his rich culinary and management experience to helm the hotel’s team of over 100 chefs.

Prior to his new appointment, Chef Joris was the executive chef at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu, Philippines. He joined the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group in 2005 as executive sous chef of Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Sultanate of Oman.

Chef Jovis started his culinary career in 1991 in a luxury hotel in his hometown in the Netherlands. He became an executive chef in 2003. Spanning over 22 years, his career has taken him to Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Sultanate Oman and Indonesia.
