The December issue of That's Beijing is out now - paper-and-ink form citywide and digital-pdf form right here.

Inside see our review of 2014. We give you our pick of the year's model workers and running dogs (page 40), and asked local Beijingers for their thoughts as they look back (page 44).

Christmas is almost upon us, which either means you've got a bonus coming your way and you need help spending it, or you will be waiting until the last minute to even start thinking about doing your shopping. Either way, you'll need our Christmas gift buying guide (page 24).

Read up on recent in-depth stories too. We follow an American wrestling tour through Hebei (page 10) and visit the new 'ancient' southern water town by the Great Wall (page 16).

What about what's happenin' in music this month? Find out when current tours are stopping off in Beijing, like The Fallacy (page 32), Dan Deacon (page 35) and Helen Feng's Nova Heart (page 36).

There's plenty to read about on food and drink (page 48), especially during this most gluttonous of months. And of course, what December issue would be complete without a Christmas Dinner Guide (page 55)?

Merry Christmas from That's Beijing. We will be back in print in the New Year but, as always, keep an eye on our website for more stories and recommendations on the goings-on of our fair city.
