An escaped horse, fully equipped with saddle and bridle, was seen racing down the northern section of Beijing's 5th ring road on May 10.

Multiple witnesses posted on Weibo that a man with a pony tail – presumably the horse's owner – was chasing after it.

The situation escalated when a dog jumped out of its car and started chasing the man and the horse. The driver of the car then started chasing her dog.

The two animals were caught 20 minutes later at an exit. Both owners took their pets and left the scene before police arrived.

Police are investigating why the horse was on the ring road in the first place, Beijing Youth Daily reports.
