Nov 2: Sun Kil Moon

Not to be mistaken with the Korean boxer Sung-Kil Moon (whom the band is named after), Sun Kil Moon is a group headed up by San Francisco-based folk-rocker Mark Kozelek. He'll be performing tonight (Tuesday) at Yugong Yishan. It should be a good show. Plus, it’ll give you an idea of what to expect from Kozelek’s next album, Common As Light And Love Are Red Valleys Of Blood (to be released in February).

Wed Nov 2, 8.30-11.30pm. RMB200 (door) / RMB150 (presale). Yugong Yishan, see event listing.

Nov 4: Tizzy T and Young Jack “Back to Back” China Tour Beijing Stop

Chinese hip-hop stars Tizzy T and Young Jack are invading School Bar on Friday night as part of their "Back to Back" tour. FrankiD, BoomXu, AfterJourney, SunXu and DJ Dash will be the openers.

Fri Nov 4. RMB150 (door) / RMB120 (advance). Click here to buy advance tickets. School Live Bar, see event listing.

Nov 5: The Seven Mile Journey 2016 China Tour

Danish instrumentalists The Seven Mile Journey are in the midst of their eight-city tour around China. The quartet is playing tracks off their new album Templates for Mimesis. They’ll be landing at Yugong Yishan on Saturday night. Last time the group toured China every single show sold out. So get tickets while you can.

Sat Nov 5, RMB150 (door) / RMB120 (advance). Yugong Yishan, see event listing

Nov 6: All the Rock in One Night

The name of this event pretty much sums it up… Hot Cat is going to be rocking out on Sunday.

Sun Nov 6, 7-11pm. Hot Cat, see event listing

Nov 7: Ian Shaw and Trio

UK musician Ian Shaw pretty much does it all, from comedy to producing to song writing. But it is his skills as a jazz vocalist that he’ll be showing off on Monday night at Blue Note. Shaw will be accompanied by Allen Axel Youngblood on piano, Scott Edwin Dodd on bass and Chaeles Matthew Foldesh on drums.

Mon Nov 7, 7.30pm. Blue Note Beijing, see event listing
