Travel Gossip: Get Ready for a Wet & Wild October Holiday

As the much-awaited October 'Golden Week' Holiday approaches, travelers are gearing up for a rollercoaster ride of adventure... but it might come with a few unexpected twists – courtesy of some unruly typhoons.

Picture this: You've meticulously planned your trip, mapped out all the must-visit attractions, and even figured out the best time to take those Instagram-worthy photos.

But Mother Nature has a sense of humor, and it might just involve drenching you from head to toe!

According to the China Weather official Sina Weibo, the next 10 days could see the formation of not one, not two, but three typhoons in the South China Sea and northwest Pacific Ocean.

This could spell trouble, especially for Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidaymakers.

And hold on to your hats, because it's not just rain that's coming; it's going to be a tempestuous mix of strong winds and showers, particularly along the coasts of Hainan and Guangdong.

But that's not all – before the typhoons crash the party, there's the small matter of sweltering heat.

While the northern regions are welcoming autumn with open arms, the south is still sizzling, and in the days leading up to Golden Week, temperatures are expected to soar.

In most cities across Guangdong, thermometers will hover around 33 degrees Celsius, while Hainan province will see a scorching 35 degrees.

Shanghai and the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region will also be basking in temperatures around 30 degrees.

So, dear travelers, are you ready for the October holiday adventure? Are you braving the crowds at famous tourist spots, or are you opting for a leisurely 'city walk' in your own hometown?
