The 2019 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA 2019) will take place in the luxurious Tianjin Shangri-La Hotel. Created by former Westminster choristers, the British choral group VOCES8 performs works varying from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary jazz and pop arrangements. For one night only, the brilliant vocal ensemble will perform at Tianjin Grand Theatre.
The hundred-member Youth Orchestra is decided through a rigorous decision process. Members come from an array of backgrounds including the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Every summer, the orchestra comes together for six weeks. For the first three weeks, they will be in a rehearsal camp. Post-training camp, they will embark on a grand musical tour to theaters across the country and around the world.
Led by director Feng Ying, the Central Ballet, the esteemed national ballet troupe of China established in December 1959, takes over Tianjin Grand Theater for one more special performance this month to close out their summer season. Don’t miss their final show, as they perform dazzling repertoires to composers like Tchaikovsky.
