Tianjin Airlines flight A320 was cruising through thunderstorms over Zhengzhou at an altitude of 9,800 meters (32,000 feet) when it was suddenly hit by hail. The chunks of ice cracked the outer layer of the left and right windshields and caused the plane's weather radar to fail.

Despite all the damage the plane sustained, the airbus was eventually able to land safely in Wuhan, Hubei province. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
