Imagine waking up to the sound of hoofbeats echoing across the steppe, watching the sun rise over flower-strewn hills, and galloping through a riverbed where the sky stretches wider than your dreams.
This is the Manma Horseback Adventure—a five-day, four-night odyssey through the vast landscapes of Ulan Butong, Inner Mongolia, where you’ll trade traffic for trails and deadlines for the drumbeat of your horse’s stride.
Organized by Manma Ranch, this immersive journey blends horseback riding, nomadic culture, and nature’s raw beauty into an unforgettable experience. With certified instructors, stunning terrain, and star-filled skies, it’s not just a trip—it’s a ride back to what’s real.
Where Hoofbeats Whisper with the Wild
Once the imperial hunting grounds of Qing emperors, Ulan Butong remains one of China’s last wild frontiers.
Here, hundreds of thousands of acres of grasslands, canyons, dunes, and flower fields stretch beyond the reach of wheels.
This is no theme park—it’s the real steppe.
Every rider, whether beginner or advanced, is guided by professionals certified by FITE, the Chinese Equestrian Association, and the Inner Mongolia Equestrian Association.
Guests are grouped by age and experience, with a 1:4 guide-to-guest ratio, ensuring safety and tailored attention.

Where Comfort Meets the Call of the Wild
You’ll stay in traditional Mongolian yurts equipped with cozy bedding, 24-hour hot showers (shared bathroom), and flush toilets—rustic charm with just the right touch of comfort.
Campsites are cleaned daily, ensuring a safe, relaxing return after long rides.
Grassland ‘Michelin’ Dining
Fuel your adventure with farm-to-fire feasts: whole-roasted lamb, lamb hotpot, stone-grilled meats, and Mongolian tea. You can dine under open skies or in a communal yurt.
Vegetarian and nut-free options are always available.
More Than Riding
This isn’t just about horses—it’s about living the rhythms of nomadic life.
You’ll try Mongolian archery, Bökh wrestling, and stargaze through a telescope beside a roaring fire.
