Nürnberg is a post-punk duo from Minsk, Belarus, formed in 2016 by Yury Luhautsou (vocals, bass, synthesizer) and Aleh Sautin (guitar). Their artistic vision is deeply rooted in the melancholic essence of post-Soviet urban landscapes, resonating with the sounds of 80s British post-punk, new wave, and cold wave. Their expansive soundscapes reflect on themes of existence (the meaningless of life—everyone dies, or the absurdity of the world—the sun shines on both the good and the bad), modern societal issues, and individual disorientation. While their music is dark, it is not devoid of hope, encapsulating a profound love and empathy for humanity.
