With the theme of "Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" and "Integration and Integration", this year's Watercolor Biennale reflects the style of the times, embodies the excellent traditional cultural wisdom and fine traditions of Chinese civilization such as Harmony as the Value, Concord and Wanbang, and highlights the cultural spirit of openness, diversity and inclusiveness. This year's Watercolor Biennale widely solicits works through the official website of the China Artists Association, International Watercolor Art Information, China Watercolor, Shenzhen News Network and other platforms as well as the publicity platform of the professional field of watercolor painting, and at the same time links with Shenzhen International Sister City, domestic and foreign art academies and well-known art institutions to widely mobilize global artists to submit submissions to participate in the exhibition, collecting nearly 4,000 submitted works from 48 countries and regions. In line with "openness, fairness and transparency" and adhering to the principle of "internationality, scholarship and innovation", nearly 200 selected works were selected after preliminary and re-evaluation. Throughout this exhibition, the themes are diverse, rich in content, profound in thought and full of creativity, which fully demonstrates the active exploration of contemporary watercolor artists and the vigorous development of global watercolor art. Chinese and foreign artists are eclectic, integrating different concepts, new techniques and new materials, giving watercolor art a new visual effect, which greatly enriches the language of watercolor art. The changeable composition, rich colors, art forms from figuration to abstraction, from freehand to decorative, and diversified artistic languages all present the academic height and innovation level of contemporary watercolor painting.
