The Rafal Sarnecki Quintet is composed of musicians from different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds. Their music blends the shadow of classical music-influenced New York jazz with elements of avant-garde European music. Despite their intricate rhythms and harmonies, their performance maintains the melodic essence and energy of the music itself.
The concept of "A View From The Treetop" continues from Rafal's previous album, "Climbing Trees," which reflects Rafal's childhood interests in tree climbing, carrying his memories and dreams from that time. Alongside this interest comes a paradoxical fear and love for heights, which has become a fascinating conflict within Rafal's music.
Some of the concert's repertoire is taken from the album "A View From The Treetop," marking its debut performance in China.
