Zhu Juncheng a Shanghai local and a Capricorn. In true Cap fashion he strives for perfection in his work and his life. A naturally shy person, he often finds himself as a silent observer who struggles to find the words to express his emotions. For Juncheng, painting is a seamless way to convey his views on the life and the world. Painting is a safe space where he can craft and then refine his message until he has expressed himself to his satisfaction.
The inspiration of "The Little Escapade" mainly comes from all the emotions hidden in the consciousness, whether it is joy or sadness, that are an inevitable part of life. In his opinion, emotions aren’t simply good or bad, they all have their own color, and can be beautiful. Also, the artist hopes the audience will be able to take a peek into the life of the gay community. In the gay world there are struggles, dark moments, moments of loneliness and sadness.  But there is also a beautiful and colorful side full of love and freedom.
