The Powerlong Museum ― located in Qibao, Shanghai, near Hongqiao International Airport ― will hold the "Korean Abstract Art: Kim Whanki and Dansaekhwa" exhibition from Nov. 8 to March 2, 2019.
Opened in November 2017, the institution is part of Powerlong Culture, Chinese conglomerate Powerlong Group's cultural branch, and the museum's collection initiated from the company's founder Xu Jiankang's personal collection. The collection was first centered on modern Chinese ink-brush paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, but soon expanded to contemporary works.
