PARLOUR invites you to the Experimental Brazilian Sound Orchestra inspired by Candomblé -- the Afro-American religious tradition, practiced mainly in Brazil by the "povo de santo" (people of the saint). The performance will be lead by Russian sinologist, sound and performing artist Lena Kilina, in collaboration with Italian sound artist and music producer Eugenio Altieri, capoeira dancer Virtual, and neo-theatrics researcher Dave Pushkin. The Brazilian theme will be extended as an absurd sound art performance with Brazilian instruments and the ritualistic electronic drum audio set. Scenic elements of Brazilian sound orchestra will remain as freestanding experimental sound theater.
On the night, a photo book dedicated to Candomblé will also be on display, with the film photography by Lena Kilina and graphic illustration by Alice Casiraghi. The photographs Lena captured was during her 2017 trip to Bahia to take part at the special ceremony of candomble celebration - spirits of Orishas.
